  • Phone Appointments:

    Phone appointments are just like they sound. You can talk with one of behavioral health specialists over the phone. We are able to deliver the same level of service over the phone, just like you were sitting in the office with your specialist.

    How to get started:

    1. Schedule an appointment with our staff by calling Licking-740.522.8477 or Knox-740-397-0442.

    2. Tell us the best phone number to reach you.

    3. At the time of your appointment, your behavioral health specialist will give you a call.

    Video Appointments:

    If you have ever talked with a friend, family, or co-workers over FaceTime or other video service, you know how this works. If you haven’t, simply you are on your computer or phone and your behavioral healthcare specialist is on their computer. You are able to see and talk with each other just like you were sitting together in our office.

    How to get started:

    1. Schedule an appointment with our staff by calling 740.522.8477 or toll-free at 1.877.593.6330.

    2. We will send you an email with your appointment link.

    3. At the time of your appointment, click the link to be connected to your behavioral health specialist.

  • Q. Does my insurance cover video and phone appointments?
    A. Many insurance carriers allow some form of telehealth. Give us a call and we can check for you. Please have your insurance card handy.

    Q. Will this impact my data usage?
    A. Maybe. It all depends on your individual contract with your phone carrier. Please contact your phone carrier for specific details. If this is a hardship, BHP may be able to help you with these charges.

    Q. Where should I be during my appointment?
    A. Ideally, you should be someplace comfortable and private.

    Q. What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment?
    A.     We will let you know what to do ahead of time when you call to schedule your appointment.

    Q. Are the behavioral health specialists local or will I be talking with someone out of state or country?
    A.     All of our behavioral health specialists are licensed in Ohio. The majority of them are here in Licking and Knox counties. We do have one specialist who is in another state, but previously lived in this area, so know our community well.

    Q. Can I be prescribed medications over the phone or video appointment?
    A    . Yes, our prescribers are able to write prescriptions for you and send to your local pharmacy.
